Bible Verses for Parents

Sometimes being a parent of a very active toddler is exhausting. Okay, most of the time. I know that I am not the only one who loses their patience with their kid. To help myself and any other parents out there who just get too tired and lose their patience with their kids, I have compiled a list of ten Bible verses to use as a mantra when all you want to do is hide in a closet, the only place where it is quiet.
Ecclesiastes 7:9 (MSG)
Don't be quick to fly off the handle. Anger boomerangs. You can spot a fool by the lumps on his head.
Philippians 4:6 (NIV)
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
Romans 5:3 (NLT)
We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance.
Proverbs 15:18 (MSG)
Hot tempers start fights; a calm, cool spirit keeps the peace.
James 1:4 (NIV)
Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything.
